GoLoud has announced the signing of Mark Mehigan to its host of podcast titles with the launch of Mark Mehigan’s Weekly Roast, a comedy podcast that takes a hilarious and irreverent look at the quirks and absurdities of everyday life. A GoLoud Original podcast, no topic is off-limits as each week, Mark roasts everything from pop culture to movies and current events with special guests featuring regularly.
Speaking about his new podcast, Mark Mehigan said:
“After many years of writing and recording podcasts in my bedroom, I am incredibly excited to be joining forces with GoLoud and developing this show together. I took a long break from podcasting to focus on performing live shows and to write a book, so it feels good to be sitting in a windowless room again, speaking into the abyss. Who would have known that’s where I am the happiest.”
Mark Mehigan is a Dublin-born comedian who has established himself as one of the rising stars in Irish comedy, winning audiences over with his distinctive brand of satire and humour. Born in Cabinteely the 32-year-old initially pursued a career in music, collaborating with Westlife singer Mark Feehily in Los Angeles at the age of 23. His musical talent earned him a writing credit on an album alongside legendary artist Joni Mitchell.
Mark found his true calling in comedy, gaining widespread recognition during lockdown with his satire-laced roasts of Irish life. Mehigan embarked on a successful tour, established the popular podcast “The Sunday Roast,” and authored his first book.
