Recognising the best in Irish Radio Broadcasting, the annual IMRO Radio Awards 2024 took place on Friday night last (4 Oct) at the Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny where Bauer Media Audio Ireland emerged as one of the biggest winners of the night with a total of 45 awards including 17 gold wins including the major categories of National Station of the Year for Newstalk and Music Station of the Year for Red FM. Newstalk also took home gold for Radio Moment of the Year with “Who Cares for the Carers?”

This year’s awards saw an unprecedented number of entries, highlighting the unwavering passion and creativity thriving within the sector.

In addition, the IMRO 24 Outstanding Achievement Award went to the Beat 102 103.

Digital Media Literacy Tour for secondary schools. which saw Beat’s multi-platform content creators delivering 41 bilingual digital media literacy information sessions, on site, at twenty different secondary schools.

The wins didn’t stop at golds though with Bauer Media Audio Ireland also winning 10 silver and 18 bronze in a diverse range of categories including Music, News & Sport, Speech, General, People and Stations.
