The latest Joint National Listenership Report (JNLR) shows that Bauer Media Audio Ireland has a combined weekly reach of 1.74 million listeners and 1.1 million daily listeners.

The latest results show improved performances from across the portfolio of stations which include Today FM, Newstalk, 98FM, SPIN 1038 and SPIN South West.

BMAI is the most popular commercial radio group in Ireland accounting for 21.3% of all prime-time listening.  This is an all-time high performance and makes Bauer the Number 1 group for listening share in the key audience demographics of 15-34-year-olds, 20-44-year-olds, and 25-54-year-olds.

Today FM extends its lead as Ireland’s Number 1 commercial radio station on all top line audience measurements with a primetime Market share of 9.6%, the highest in over a decade. The stations weekly audience climbs to 875,000, over 200,000 more than RTÉ 2FM while Today FM’s daily audience reaches a seven-year high of 455,000.  

The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show breaks its own record achieving the biggest audience in the show’s history with 203,000 listeners while Dermot and Dave isIreland’s largest commercial radio show with 207,000 listeners. 

Newstalk has added 8,000 listeners over the last year, growing weekly reach to 792,000 listeners while registering an all-time high Market Share figure of 7.2%.  Newstalk remains the Number One commercial station in Dublin on market share and daily reach while nationally, it is the Number One talk station for 20 – 44 year olds on daily reach cementing its position as a talk station for a new generation. 

The latest results show another all-time high for Ciara Kelly and Shane Coleman on Newstalk Breakfast reaching an audience of 152,000 while Sean Moncrieff has increased audience by 19,000 in the last year to sit on 96,000. 

98FM has increased its daily reach by 9,000 since the last results and grown Market Share to 5.6% proving that ‘Dublin’s Good Times’ is a winning formula in the capital. The station now reaches 168,000 listeners a week. 

SPIN remains Ireland’s leading youth radio brand with SPIN 1038 the Number 1 Music Station in Dublin with 264,000 weekly and 152,000 daily listeners.  The station has also achieved an all-time high Market Share figure of 8.4%.

Steve K has added 10,000 listeners over the last year to see his audience stand at 77,000.

SPIN South West remains the Number 1 music station in the region with 158,000 weekly listeners an increase of 9,000 over the last year.
