Newstalk grows audience to 792,000 Weekly Listeners
The destination for the next generation of talk listeners, Newstalk has seen its breakfast show with Ciara Kelly and Shane Coleman achieve an all-time high audience
The latest JNLR results published today show another strong performance for Newstalk.
The station has increased weekly listeners by 8,000 over the last year and now has 792,000 weekly listeners and achieves and an all-time high equalling National Market Share figure of 7.2%.
Newstalk is the Number 1 talk station nationally for 20 – 44 year olds on daily reach, further extending its lead and remains the clear Number 1 commercial station in Dublin region with an 10.8% Market Share and 169,000 daily listeners.
Newstalk Breakfast with Ciara Kelly and Shane Coleman has achieved a record audience performance, growing 14,000 (YoY)to stand on 152,000 listeners. Moncrieff has led the charge of Newstalk daytime programmes bringing his audience to almost 100,000 (96,000), an increase of 19,000 in the last year.
Other shows to see increases include The Hard Shoulder with Kieran Cuddihy which increased audience to 159,000 listeners, up 8,000 in the last year while Off The Ball has grown its weekday evening audience by 5,000 to stand at 48,000.
Weekends on Newstalk also enjoyed a strong performance with The Anton Savage Show increasing audience by 6,000 since the last results to stand on 107,000 while Off The Ball on Saturday (128,000) and Sunday (140,000) delivered strong audience success.
