It was a night to remember at the yearly IMRO Radio Awards last night (Friday 2nd October), as Bauer Media Audio Ireland celebrated 13 gold wins, with Today FM taking home the coveted National Station of the Year title at the Lyrath Estate Hotel in Kilkenny.
Overall, Bauer Media Audio Ireland celebrated an outstanding haul of 44 awards across Gold, Silver and Bronze, with its entire portfolio of stations earning recognition across the diverse categories of news, current affairs, sport, music and entertainment.
Hosted by Dermot Whelan, the IMRO Radio Awards shine a spotlight on the very best of Irish radio, celebrating excellence across 42 categories. Bauer Media Audio Ireland made a strong impact at this year’s awards, earning an impressive 61 nominations across 38 categories.

Among the highlights on the night was the induction of Bauer Media Audio Ireland’s Teena Gates into the Radio Hall of Fame, recognising her four-decade career as an award-winning journalist, broadcaster, news leader and educator, including two-decades as Breakfast News Anchor and Head of News at 98FM.
