Following a competitive process, Simon Myciunka has been appointed Bauer Media Audio UK CEO. In this role, he will lead Bauer Media Audio UK’s teams across all four nations.
Simon joined Bauer Media two years ago when Bauer acquired Communicorp Ireland. Under Simon’s leadership in his role as CEO of Bauer Media Audio Ireland, the business has gone from strength to strength, further growing reach and revenues across its broadcast and digital audio portfolio, and is the country’s largest commercial radio group with six radio stations.
Its portfolio includes the national stations Today FM and Newstalk, two SPIN youth stations, 98FM in Dublin and the recently acquired Red FM in Cork, as well as Ireland’s leading digital sports brand Off The Ball, the aggregated listening platform GoLoud for radio, podcasts and music and the digital audio advertising exchange, audioXi.
From 1st July, Chris Doyle will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of Bauer Media Audio Ireland until a permanent successor has been appointed.

Simon will formally start his role on 1st July. Dee Ford leaves the UK business this summer in order to step into a new chapter of her life, spending more time with her husband and family.
